Your Order

The following points are very important and must be considered. Please read all the information carefully, add your notes in the 'Order Details' box at the bottom and when you are sure you understand all the points and have supplied the extra information we need please click 'Submit' at the bottom.

If you are unsure on any points or require clarification, please phone 01403-786266 and ask to speak to the Installation Team.

1/Delivery Date

While every effort will be made to adhere to the delivery date given to you when your order was taken, it is sometimes necessary due to exceptional circumstances to move a delivery date (sometimes at short notice). Reasons can include overrun on previous job due to weather, sickness, transport problems etc. although every effort will be made to give as much notice as possible.

2/ Directions and Photo's

Please take the time to send us some directions to your site from the nearest 'A' road. Please bear in mind that the vehicles will be lorries and include any landmarks (pubs, phone boxes etc) that will help our team in finding the way.

Photo's can be a great assistance in helping us to assess the situation at your site with regard to access, areas for unloading etc. Please take at least 3 photo's showing a) Entrance to your site from road  b) Route from entrance to site c) Base area

If you think there are any other areas we may need to know about (sharp bends in access lane etc) please include photo's of these as well.

Directions and photo's can be sent by post to the Installation Team at our address, or by e-mail to  info@redmire.co.uk

3/ Base

There can be many factors to consider regarding the placement and construction of a stable base. Our Sales staff will already have run through with you certain issues regarding size/fall for water run-off etc and your appointed groundworker will be your best point of contact regarding issues with the base itself. Please bear in mind that our delivery will be made with a minimum lorry size of 7.5t and that these are road vehicles. They will therefore require a means of access to the front of your base without getting stuck.

The base itself should have free and uninterrupted access on all sides of at least 1m. This is to allow our erectors access to all areas and for placement of ladders etc. If this is not the case please give details below in the box 'Order Details' and also mark the areas concerned on the brickwork plan.

Also please mark on the brickwork plan any manhole covers, septic tanks etc that we need to be aware of.

Ideally your base and access will be finished a week before your delivery date. If you think this may not be the case you must contact us as we may need to rebook your delivery date. Any failure to advise us of the base not being ready may result in extra charges being levied if we are unable to start work on your booked date.

Please note that if base and/or brickwork is completed within the week prior to our arrival, Redmire Stables cannot accept any responsibility for any damage caused to base or for bricks being knocked loose due to insufficient curing time.

If brickwork has been laid incorrectly, Redmire Stables reserves the right to proceed and erect the building and be paid, and for the customer to have brickwork amended at a later date.

4/ Access

It is your responsibility to ensure that our erectors have free and uninterrupted access to your base.

Every effort will be made by our teams to avoid any damage to all areas including fields, grassed areas, paddocks, access tracks, site areas and grass verges outside entrances. However, Redmire Stables will not accept any responsibility for damage (including wheel ruts) caused to these areas by restricted access. Any overhanging trees on the access route and over the base should be cut back; failure to do so may result in damage to the tree for which Redmire Stables will not accept responsibility.

In the case of mobile field shelters and field shelters you must ensure that our erectors have access to the field you wish to have the building in. If the field is too soft for our lorry to enter you must provide a flat trailer (large enough to carry a 4.5m x 2.2m section) and a tractor powerful enough to tow the trailer with a weight of up to 3500kg. If our lorry cannot enter the field and a tractor and trailer is not available, our erectors will have to build the mobile just inside the field for you to tow to your desired position at a later date. Please note that our erectors will NOT be allowed to carry materials across fields due to inaccessible location.

In the case of stables, our lorries must be able to get to the front of the base. There is often a huge amount of materials to unload and any delay in getting the load to the base can have an impact on the time that has been allocated (and costed) for your build.

If the distance between lorry and base is going to be more than 10m (33ft), please contact us with details as we will need to speak with you to make alternative arrangements. The area between lorry and base should obviously be reasonably flat and without holes, ditches etc

Should Redmire Stables be unable to reach the base due to restricted access, we reserve the right to change order to a 'delivery only' and offload materials to our nearest point of access. The outstanding balance will immediately become due and will need to be collected by our Erection Team before leaving site.

5/Power

Ideally you will have mains electricity close to the site which our erectors will be able to use with the 50m leads they carry. If you do not have mains power available or it is more than 50m away, please give us details in the 'Order Details' box below.

6/Balance

It is a strict company policy that the balance outstanding on any job becomes payable on completion of the building. This is normally  collected by our erection team which can be by way of cheque (made payable to Redmire Stables Ltd.) or cash. Please not that post-dated cheques will not be acceptable. If you wish to pay the balance by credit card you can do so by calling our Sales Office on 01403-785508 but there will be a surcharge of 1.5% which we have to include. Payments by debit card have no surcharge.

If you wish to pay by BACS transfer, please allow 5 working days for the transfer to go through in time to be with us at the completion of the building.

If your building is being erected under an insurance claim, please ensure that the cheque from the insurance company will be made out in the name of Redmire Stables Ltd. and will be available for our erectors to collect when the building is completed. If the insurance company wishes to send us the cheque directly, it must reach us before your delivery date.

Any other financial arrangement must be made in advance of the job and agreed in writing from Redmire Stables Ltd. Request for any such agreement must be made in writing to our Sales Dept. ; e-mails will not be accepted.

Please advise your preferred method of payment in the 'Order Details ' box below.

7/Brickwork Plan

Please check your brickwork plan to ensure you understand it and it reflects the building you have ordered. If you are unsure of any detail or information please phone your Sales contact on 01403-785508

Please also note on the plan where the access will be for our vehicles.

If you have drains which have been laid by your groundworker, please also mark on the plan where you require the downpipes for the guttering to be placed (please note that our downpipes will finish with a shoe - connection of guttering into a drainage system is your responsibility).

The brickwork plan should then be signed and returned.

8/Site Safety

Please bear in mind that the area around the base will be a worksite for the duration of the build. While our erectors will try to keep the area as free from waste materials as possible, there is likely to be loose items around the base during the day and overnight on jobs lasting more than one day. Please ensure that children and animals are kept away from the base area during this time.

On completion of the build, the entire site area will be cleared and 'swept' for any loose nails/screws etc.

9/Job Completion

Redmire Stables will always endeavour to complete the job within the time estimate given at the time of sale. However, this is only an estimate and Redmire Stables cannot be held responsible for any time overrun due to whatsoever circumstances. Should an overrun occur, Redmire Stables cannot be held responsible for any conflict with any other trades (plumbing, electrical etc) you may have booked or for any subsequent costs levied.

10/ Stained Buildings

If your building has been ordered with a stained finish, Redmire Stables will endeavour to ensure that an even stain has been applied prior to the building arriving at your site. However, due to the amount of materials involved it is sometimes found that some staining has to be done on-site to achieve a stained finish that we consider satisfactory. Staining on the outside of the building can normally only be done if weather permits and cannot be done in rain or high winds. If at the time of building completion we have been unable to achieve a satisfactory stained finish due to weather, we reserve the right to collect the full balance and return at a later date when weather conditions will allow us to complete the job.
