Cladding
16 x 120mm overlap shiplap fixed with 38mm triple life sheridized ring-shank nails. Rainwater skirt fitted to all backs and end walls to prevent water ingression at base of partitions.
Framework
All outer walls constructed of 75 x 47mm sawn timber with vertical studwork at approx 600mm centres.
Internal stabling constructed of 100 x 47mm sawn timber.
Exterior walls- Double uprights (94 x 75mm) at either side of all door openings.
Interior partitions - Double uprights (94 x 100mm) at either side of all door openings.
Door aperture height is 2.280m not including single course of brickwork on internal partitions and exterior door ways
Internal stables fronts & middle partitions
100 x 47mm framework. Clad to exterior with 16 x 120mm overlap shiplap.
Fitted with 1.2m x 0.760m or 1.8m x 0.760m galvanised talk-grill dependant on front partition length.
One bottom door only; see door specification listed below.
Fixing To Base
Bolted to base by galvanised strapping at approximately 1.2m centre’s directly into concrete base. Further brackets used both sides of all door apertures.
Door Frames & Openings.
Stable door-opening width – 1100mm.
Tack / Feed room – 810mm.
Sliding Barn door openings 2.4m or 3.0m.
Internal Lining
Stables are kick-boarded to 1.22m high as standard with 12mm exterior grade plywood. Dividing partitions are also lined in 12mm plywood to eaves height (2.4m) on the one side. All plywood finished with golden brown treatment. Internal treatment subject to alteration.
Windows (top doors to side elevations are optional)
One per stable on side elevation as standard 600 x 780mm part louvered timber framed window fitted to front elevation. Top part ventilated with lower part glazed with 4mm acrylic protected with 50mm galvanised mesh on the interior.
Doors (Stabling)
1.1m x 1.270m x 56mm fitted with the following:
• Clad with 150 x 19mm V jointed tongue & grooved planed timber
• 200 x 25mm ledged & braced framework
• All ironmongery is hot dipped galvanised
• All chew strips manufactured with 15mm diameter rounded corners
• 600mm hook and band hinges
• 50mm chew strip to top of bottom door
• Lined internally with 9mm exterior grade plywood
• 200mm brenton bolt to bottom door
• Kick-over latch
• 150mm cabin hook
Internal Tack / Feed Room doors
810mm wide x 2.020m high x 44mm thickness
• Softwood FLB door
• 200 x 25mm ledged & braced framework
• Five lever mortice lock fitted with black lever handle
• Three 75mm brass butt hinges

Outer end doors Pairs (sliding) on both end elevations

Actual doors to suit 2.4m aperture are 2.8m wide x 2.240m high

• Clad with 150 x 22mm V jointed tongue & grooved planed timber

• One 100mm hasp and staple latch ( (padlock not supplied)
• Securing inside of first door - 300mm heavy-duty floor bolt drilled into concrete.
• Galvanized weather canopy fitted above both end doors.

Roofing Structure
Two gable end vents at each end.
Ridge height is 4.5m not inc. single course of brickwork.
Internal height clearance between internal partitions is to full height. See elevation drawings for further details.
Sawn timber purlins, 150 x 47mm fitted to 225 x 75 rafters by of galvanized joist hangers.
150 x 150 timber posts supporting main 225 x 75mm rafters, fixed to base in galvanized foot plates with 4 x 75mm expansion bolts.
Entire roof fitted with 11mm OSB boarding over purlins.
50mm sheet insulation board (extratherm) fitted over 11mm OSB.
Roofing Finishes
Standard roofing finish is Juniper Green Polyester coated Box profile steel roofing. Alternative colours are available at an additional cost.
Colour matching 200mm ridge and gable barge boards.
One clear roof sheet fitted per internal stable as standard in matching profile.
Guttering
112mm deep flow black Upvc gutters fitted with 68mm down pipes to both side elevations.
Down-pipes finished with curved shoe at base (base of outer wall). Connecting down-pipes directly into ground drainage is the responsibility of client.
Tack Rooms / Feed Rooms
Fitted in place of one internal stable if requested. Please refer to price list.
Front partition contains one personal door (see tack/feed doors listed prior) and one window, similar design to side windows but protected internally with galvanised steel bars.
Flat roof above constructed of 125 x 47mm joists at 400mm centre’s held by joist hangers and lined over with 15mm OSB boarding.
All partitions for internal tack / feed rooms supplied fully lined to eaves in 12mm hardwood faced plywood.
Treatment – Exterior Finish
All timbers with exception of any sheet material are vacuum pressure impregnated treated with permawood 1704 preservative manufactured to BS8417 table 9. Standard colour finish (light green) is indicated within the relevant brochure.
Alternative dark brown or black available at additional cost.
Installations
Following completion of the buildings a one-week break is recommended before subsequent contractors are allowed to fit other services to allow for possible delays. All installation schedules are estimated.
