Cladding
16 x 120mm (finished size) overlap shiplap fixed with 38mm triple life sheridized ring-shanked nails. Rainwater skirt fitted to all backs and end walls to prevent water ingression at base of partitions.
Framework
Constructed of 75 x 47mm sawn timber with vertical studwork at approx 600mm centres. Wind bracing fitted on all unlined structures. Double studwork on all door apertures (75 x 94mm) and further 75 x 47mm timber bracing fitted at 1.220m.
Fixing To Base
Bolted to base by galvanised strapping at approximately 1.2m centres directly into concrete base. Further brackets used both sides of all door apertures.
Door Frames & Openings
Double uprights (94 x 75mm) on either side of all door openings. Optional weatherboard cladding will also require addition of 100 x 75mm sawn doorframe. Door height is 2130mm including single course of brickwork.
Stable door-opening width – 1100mm. Tack / Feed room – 810mm. Barn door openings range between 1800mm to 2400mm.
Internal Lining
Stables are kick-boarded to 1.220m height as standard with 12mm exterior grade plywood. Dividing partitions are also lined in 12mm plywood to eaves height (2.2m) on the one side. All plywood finished with golden brown treatment.
Windows
600 x 780mm part louvered timber framed window fitted to front elevation. Top part ventilated with lower part glazed with 4mm acrylic protected with 50mm galvanised mesh on the interior. Similar size window fitted to rear wall of corner boxes as standard.

Overhang / Canopy
1.2m overhang plus guttering. Underlined with a 47 x 47mm frame with 12mm softwood overlap patterned finish cladding.
Roofing Structure
The depth of the building is 3.6m with a 1.2m overhang. The ridge height is 3.0m not including a single course of brickwork. Different ridge heights apply to alternative designs. The sawn purlins are between 100 x 47mm to 150 x 47mm spaced at 450mm centres dependant on width of building. One 300 x 450mm gable end vent to all gable ends except tack / feed rooms. Trusses constructed of 75 x 47mm and 100 x 47mm sawn timbers. All trusses fixed to partitions by way of 100mm or 150mm timber-lock screws.
Roofing Finishes
Black onduline with a galvanised ridge or P6 corrugated cement. Alternative colours are available at an additional cost. Clear roof sheets are available at extra cost. Matching onduline ridge available if required. Other roof options include various colours of felt tiles.
Guttering
112mm black Upvc gutters fitted with 68mm down pipes to front elevation.
Guttering to the rear elevation is available at an extra charge.
Tack Rooms / Feed Rooms
Fully lined to eaves height (2.2m) with 12mm plywood. Adjacent trusses lined with 12mm plywood internally. No windows or clear roof sheets supplied or recommended.
Hay Barns
Similar in design to stables but are unlined on the interior, to show the framework. All other specifications apply to stables.
Corner Boxes
Single hip and valley design. Stable door to front elevation with one window to rear wall. All other specifications apply to stables.
Treatment – Exterior Finish
All timbers with exception of any sheet material are vacuum pressure impregnated treated with permawood 1704 preservative manufactured to BS8417 table 9. Standard colour finish is indicated within the relevant brochure. Alternative colour finishes of dark brown and black available. Some buildings may require further treatments during construction on site.
Installations
The Hunter range has an advantage of a significant amount of pre-manufacturing before delivery to site. A one-week break is recommended before subsequent contractors are allowed to fit other services. All installation schedules are estimated.
